Our Story

Caprock Paving is a full-service asphalt paving and maintenance company. Since opening in 2017, we’ve completed parking lot maintenance and new ground up construction projects across West Texas and the Texas Panhandle. We offer an array of construction and maintenance services including asphalt repairs, crack sealing, sealcoating, and striping as well as reconstruction, base work, grading and paving. Our team of professionals pride themselves on customer satisfaction and building business relationships that will last. If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

Rance Loafman, CEO

Rance Loafman is the Chief Executive Officer of Caprock Paving. Born and raised in West Texas, he has a passion for the people and the culture of the South Plains. A 2010 graduate of Abilene Christian University, Rance has years of experience leading projects and teams in the construction industry.

Actively involved in his community, he serves on several boards and volunteers locally in various capacities. Outside of Caprock Paving, Rance is a husband and father who enjoys being active with his family and learning new things and seeing new places.

Landon Loafman, COO

A native to the region and graduate of West Texas A&M, Landon’s roots run deep in the South Plains. Soon after graduation, Landon began applying his technical knowledge and leadership skills in the asphalt industry. With over a decade of experience, he prides himself on being a COO who has “hands-on” asphalt and leadership skills. Currently, Landon oversees the day-to-day operations and brings a people-centered approach to the Caprock Paving team and clients, but still “likes to get his hands dirty” on projects. Outside of work, he is a proud husband and father of 3 who enjoys Texas history and local music.

Mark Edlin, Project Manager / Estimator

Mark Edlin serves the West Texas area as a Project Manager at Caprock Paving, supported by a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business from Wayland Baptist University. Grounded in his Christian faith, Mark collaborates with others with integrity and a strong sense of community, fostering a positive work environment. His project management style reflects a commitment to excellence, guided by both professional principles and faith-based values. Outside of work, Mark is a devoted family man, lovingly supporting his wife, Ashley, and proudly raising two daughters, Addison and Eleanor.

Whitney Arthur, Office Manager

Caprock Paving’s Office Manager, Whitney Arthur, joined the team in early 2020. Whitney always strives to serve every customer with a helpful and joyful attitude. Before joining us, she worked in other administrative roles, gaining valuable experience in customer service and inter-office operations. Whitney believes fostering a positive experience for customers, vendors, and her coworkers is imperative to her role.

Whitney is married to Tanner, and they have 2 incredible daughters. Being a wife and mother is her God-given purpose in life, and she is thankful to work for a company that honors family first. In her free time, Whitney enjoys reading, adding to her tattoo collection and spending time at home with her little family.
